The Chelsea Flower Show is a key event in the horticultural calendar and has once again proven to be popular among RHS members and the general public. Attracting over 168,000 visitors in 2024, the hundreds of trade show stands captivated attendees with exceptional landscaping and garden design.
At Rose Hill Design, we are celebrating another successful year and the Chelsea Flower Show 2024 was nothing short of spectacular. We had the pleasure of working with Rhino Greenhouses to create another innovative and breathtaking display that resulted in 5-star awards on judging day. This is the second year in a row that we have successfully achieved the highest award possible and we love working with quality brands.

Celebrating Success at the Chelsea Flower Show 2024
We believe that a truly outstanding trade show stand does more than just display products, it tells a story, captures the essence of a brand and creates an immersive experience for visitors. The judging process is very full on and we make sure to meet all criteria, from visual merchandising, presentation and storage to attention to detail and finish. Year after year, the demand to exhibit at the Chelsea Flower Show increases and brands allocated with a trade stand are expected to create something visually excellent.
This year, the design we created for Rhino Greenhouses was called “Time for Tea” and it was inspired by a quintessential English country garden. The final garden design featured traditional elements, from a wooden table and chairs set with a sun umbrella to a trellis arch with a matching fence. We used climbing plants and colourful flowers to bring the trade stand to life, and make it feel like an inviting countryside garden. To ensure the space flowed and people could move freely around the stand, we also incorporated a zigzag block paved path to take them from one area to another.
The main showcased product was one of the sunning greenhouses from Rhino Greenhouses in an eye-catching Blue Grass colour. We used Rhino Integral Staging and filled the greenhouse with everything you can expect to find in a typical garden, so the viewing public could relate to the design. Every element of the space was carefully thought out and we worked closely with Rhino Greenhouses to ensure they were happy with every finishing touch.
Working Together from Concept to Creation
At the Chelsea Flower Show, trade stands are assessed for the standard of the exhibit presentation and we always aim for 5 stars. Our process begins with gaining an understanding of our clients’ wants and needs, and the message they wish to convey. From there, we start the design process, creating stands that meet the functional requirements of a busy trade show while also being visually appealing from every angle.
Not only is it important for our trade stand designs to reflect the unique qualities of a brand and attract visitors to explore the products available, but impressing the judges is also crucial. The assessment results will be taken into consideration when allocating trade stands at future shows and it’s essential that products are displayed to the highest standards. The 5-star awards we received in 2023 and 2024 are a testament to our commitment to quality, creativity and meticulous attention to detail.
The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is one of the biggest events of the year for us and the brands we work with, and receiving a 5-star rating on judging day was the perfect culmination of our efforts. It was a moment of great pride for the entire team and we look forward to creating more innovative trade stand designs in the future.
